freerunning and tribe

It would appear that I have nothing to write about.
What have I been upto? Ha, well myself, Matt and Kester have tried our hand at free running, which is actually good fun… check out some of the photo's.

One thing I have been doing, well watching, is the Docu series on BBC2 called Tribe. – It’s extremely amazing to see how people, some of whom who have had no contact with the outside world before act and live. It would seem that they are the same as us, yet more active and ingenious. It is also noticeable how each tribe that has been visited is welcoming changes to their life, and how contrary to most peoples’ belief, they are actually wanting contact with the outside world, as they see it as making their life better.

Two weeks until exams, and I think that my exams must be the last Uni exams in the country, but at least it’ll give me more time to get prepared I guess.

virgin atlantic and the a380

I honestly can't wait to see the new Airbus A380 in action early next year. One thing apart from its amazing ingenuity that makes it exciting is the quote that Richard Branson of Virgin Atlantic gave at the rolling out ceremony:

"The A380 can seat over 800, but we're aiming for 550. We'll be using the extra space to improve our offering. For instance we'll be having double beds - more double beds. There'll be a gym. And a beauty treatment area. We already have a stand up bar, but it will be bigger. And there'll be a casino. With the double beds and the casino, you might get lucky!"

Going to be a whole new era of air travel...

a new year

Two thousand and four was an awesome year for me and I hope that 2005 is even better. I’m not one of those people who make New Years resolutions. They seem a bit pointless to me… better to just have one aim of making this year better than last.

Before I can start to really enjoy this year, I have, like most others at Uni, got a month of hell, full of exams and assignment deadlines. Nonetheless, when February hits, I’m ready to enjoy the rest of the year including my 21st birthday and hopefully becoming Junior Champs (we can do it!).

In essence there are lots of pleasantries ahead, and I for one can’t wait!

Happy New Year
