the nest
Finally moved into our new flat in Forest Hill last weekend. There’s just something about it that feels so homely; it’s truly a nice warm place to be. It’s probably best summed up by the name of the house ‘The Nest’.
Some what of a coincidence, I moved into the flat on the same weekend I moved to uni exactly four years ago.
Forest Hill itself is not a bad area, has a villagy feel, but with that it lacks much nightlife… consists of several independent bars, some really nice looking restaurants which I have yet to try and a Wetherspoons.
The commute to work has also been shortened as mentioned before. I can now comfortably get up at 7.30 and be at work by 8.30. I can also now be at home by 6pm, leaving me with the evening free to do things, unlike before when I was still on a train until nearly 8pm!
I’m looking forward to the winter now so I can wrap up warm in layers for the walk to the station and also I can start doing some late night runs when it’s cold outside.
I like winter.
